Brett Eldredge talks about being in ‘the best place creatively and personally’ ahead of his next album

Just over three years since his debut performance in the UK, Brett Eldredge finally returned to perform as part of C2C: Country to Country. He sat down with the press backstage at The O2 to talk about his music and career.

“I come from a little town called Paris, Illinois,” Brett said. “(My family) followed me down to Nashville and supported my music. I started getting songs recorded by other artists and I finally got a record deal with Atlantic Records.”

I asked Brett about the status of his next record, which he’s been spending his time working on the past few months.

“I’m in the best place creatively and personally that I’ve ever been,” Eldredge revealed. “I want to look back at this record and know it’s the best one I could make.”

What does he love about UK audiences? “When I played here last time I noticed the respect for the whole body of work from the audience. The respect is definitely noticed by us artists.”

Will Brett be back in the UK for a headline run? He said he didn’t know the dates but he was working with his team to sort something out in the future.

Brett Eldredge performs on the C2C Main Stage later today at The O2 Arena in London.
