Abby Anderson reveals how her Shallow cover with Jimmie Allen came to be

Abby Anderson has been picking up a lot of buzz ahead of her first trip to the UK for C2C: Country to Country. She sat down with press ahead of her performance to talk about her career and music so far.

“I moved out to Nashville, Tennessee when I was 17-years-old. Music is all I’ve ever wanted to do,” Abby revealed. “I’m so excited to be here across the pond.”

While talking about growing up Abby told us she was one of six kids and credited her Mum with shaping her music and introducing her to artists such as Elvis Presley and Aretha Franklin.

Talking about her songwriting Abby said, “Every day is different. For the most part I try to make it a point to write what I know.”

I asked Abby about her recent cover of Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga’s Shallow from A Star is Born with rising star Jimmie Allen.

“Jimmie called me at the beginning of the year and asked me to be a part of it, and I’m so glad I said yes,” Abby commented. “He had the concept for the video down already.”

Abby Anderson performs on the Spotlight Stage at C2C later today.
