ODEON Cinemas have partnered with Facebook to allow film-goers to book tickets directly through the social networking platform.

Movie fans can browse films and showtimes at cinemas in locations near to them by expanding the “More Menu” option in the Facebook app and clicking the “Films” tab.

“Films” can also be accessed through News Feed, by searching for ‘Films” in the search bar, or on specific movie Pages on Facebook. In “Films” people can click to view trailers, browse additional movie details including cast and select a screening.

Once a movie and showtime is selected, Facebook users have the option to select the ODEON ticketing option and are then redirected to the ODEON website to complete their transaction, all without leaving the Facebook app.

Today we’re thrilled to be launching a variety of features and that give brand new opportunities for people to discover films and connect with their local cinemas in a seamless way. The new Film features ensure that Facebook is the easiest way for you discover, plan and get tickets for your next cinema trip with your friends and family – which means we can all spend more time together at the movies.”
