The first teaser image has been released for One Red Nose Day and a Wedding featuring the original cast from Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The image shows Rowan Atkinson (Father Gerald), Kristin Scott Thomas (Fiona), Sophie Thompson (Lydia), John Hannah (Matthew), Andie MacDowell (Carrie), Hugh Grant (Charles), Anna Chancellor (Henrietta), David Haig (Bernard) and James Fleet (Tom).
One Red Nose Day and a Wedding will premiere as part of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day 2019 on BBC One on Friday 15th March. The short film was made with support from Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios Inc (MGM), who hold the rights to Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The short marks the first time the cast of Four Weddings and a Funeral have been together in 25 years. Richard Curtis, the writer behind the original film and the co-founder of Red Nose Day, has written One Red Nose Day and a Wedding especially for the 2019 edition of Red Nose Day.
Four Weddings director Mike Newell is returning to direct this new instalment, which picks up 25 years after the original film. It will feature some special guest stars alongside the returning cast members.
One Red Nose Day and a Wedding follows Red Nose Day Actually, the short follow-up to Love Actually that premiered during Red Nose Day’s 2017 edition. It will also feature as part of NBC’s programming for Red Nose Day USA on Thursday 23rd May.
