Cyberpunk RTS Re-Legion launches on Steam January 31st

1C have recently announced that their new cyberpunk themed RTS ‘Re-Legion’ will launch on Steam on January 31st. Now, Re-Legion isn’t your average RTS, it’s not a case of simply clicking on the barracks to spawn a new unit and mining resources to upgrade your troops. Oh no, it’s much more interesting than that.

You can check out the official Re-Legion trailer below:

Re-Legion is a top-down RTS set in a cyberpunk world with a really novel twist that is sure to capture your interest. In Re-Legion you play the role of Elion. He is a leader of a small cult who intends to rid the world of all non believers whilst delivering the world from evil and misery. As Elion’s power grows he is able to convert non-believers to his cause who then effectively act as your units in the game. As the cult expands it gains crypto credits which can be used to enable upgrades. Your cultists will also generate faith as you progress, allowing your followers to gain and use special abilities. Your devoted cultists can also use hacking skills to expand your control and take over digital bill boards to spread your word.

As you can see from the trailer, Re-Legion has a really cool looking game world and the idea of using people as the main resource rather than mining some generic ore has some really interesting moral effects on the game.

The choice in the game is up to you. Will you be a religion of peace or will you wage war on the heathens?!

Game features:

  • Unique RTS mechanic where new units are acquired by converting citizens into followers
  • Vivid futuristic cyberpunk visuals and dark atmosphere
  • Mature story that offers profound background and moral choices
  • Build your own cult using an original Dogmas system that ensures replayability
  • Special territory control mechanics incorporating hacking techniques
