2018 American Idol finalist Gabby Barrett has released new single I Hope, her first since finished the Idol tour.
She co-wrote the song with Zachary Kale and Jon Nite, and it’s a kiss-off anthem to a two-timing boyfriend. The song perfectly showcases Barrett’s powerhouse vocals, which took her to the Top 3 on American Idol’s 16th season.
“I am so unbelievably excited to share I Hope with the world,” Barrett says. “After my Idol chapter closed, I knew this song was the one I wanted to frame myself with. Being a female, I know what it’s like to go through a bad break up and not get to say what you REALLY want to. This song is for anybody that has gone through the same.”
The video for I Hope will be coming soon and it showcases Barrett’s transformation as her Country music career starts to take off.

Barrett spent last year on the road as part of the American Idol Live! 2018 tour and Chris Lane’s Laps Around the Sun Tour. She performed at the 2018 National Christmas Tree Lighting in Washington, D.C. where she sang The First Noel.
The rising star is currently recording new music with Ross Copperman for an upcoming release. She will also be on the road for live shows including April’s Tortuga Music Festival in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
