Busted have released new song Radio, the latest to be taken from their upcoming album Half Way There, released 1st February 2019.

The heartbreak track is a power ballad that uses nostalgia and reflection to examine how life unfolds as the years go by. The song was originally written as a song about missing home while being out on tour but the band changed its emphasis so they and their fans could more easily relate.

“It’s talking about the memories that you used to share with someone when listening to the radio,” explains James Bourne.

“Listening to the radio can evoke nostalgic reactions, and when a song comes on it can really take you back to that moment,” adds Charlie Simpson. “But when the song reminds you of losing that person, what would’ve been a good feeling suddenly feels very empty.”

The video for the track was directed by Rankin. It’s the third time Busted has worked with the icon after he shot their press shots for the 2016 reunion tour and directed their Nineties video.
