The Flash season 5 will arrive on The CW in the US on Tuesday 9th October at 8/7c. It usually follows around two weeks later on Sky 1 HD in the UK so mark you calendars for a late October premiere.
Who is the main cast for The Flash season 5?
The Flash season 5 will see the return of the following main cast members:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen / Flash

Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon / Vibe

Who else will be back for The Flash season 5?
Keiynan Lonsdale will be appearing in the premiere of season 5 but after that, we don’t know. He’s departed from DC’s Legends of Tomorrow after only a handful of episodes so we’re not expecting him to stick around on The Flash either.

Neil Sandilands won’t be back as Clifford DeVoe given that he was killed in the season 4 finale.
What storylines will feature in The Flash season 5?
Plot details are being kept tightly under wraps but it’s a given that Nora Allen-West’s appearance in season 4 kicked off a story arc that will play out during season 5.
She brings with her a dark secret from the future and gives Barry the Flash Ring, making it easier to put on his costume.
David Hersch aka Cicada will be the main villain for season 5. In the comic books Cicada was turned into a meta-human when he was struck by lightning while trying to end his life after killing his wife.
The show will also explore how Caitlin got her Killer Frost powers and it’s nothing to do with the particle accelerator explosion!
When will the Arrowverse crossover happen during The Flash season 5?
The crossover will begin with The Flash on 9th December 2018 in the US and continue with Arrow on 10th December 2018 and Supergirl on 11th December 2018.
