Following this morning’s announcement that Katie Piper would be the first celebrity taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, it has now been revealed that Steps singer Faye Tozer will also be heading to the ballroom.
The news was unveiled during tonight’s The One Show on BBC One. Tozer is the second celebrity to confirmed for the forthcoming 2018 series.
Faye said: āBeing on Strictly is literally a dream come true! Itās everything my 9 year old self ever wanted from showbiz and Iām going to relish every moment!ā
Best-known for being one-fifth of chart-topping group Steps, who are the UK’s most successful mixed-sex pop group of all-time, Tozer has enjoyed success across the world. As part of Steps she’s sold over 20 million albums, released four studio albums and had 17 hit singles.
When Steps split in 2001, Tozer teamed up with Russell Watson for the Top 10 hit Someone Like You before heading to the West End stage. Tozer reunited with her Steps bandmates in 2011 for a Sky Living TV show and a sold-out arena tour.
The band released their latest album Tears on the Dancefloor in 2017 and have just completed a summer tour.
Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One on Saturday and Sunday nights this autumn.
