Seth Lakeman will release his ninth solo album The Well-Worn Path on 26th October 2018 via Cooking Vinyl.

The album’s lead single is Divided We Will Fall, an upbeat track that’s available to download and stream now. You can hear it below:

Lakeman recorded The Well-Worn Path in his garden studio on Dartmoor in January. The recording was done during a short break from touring with Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters.

Working with producer Ben Hillier (Elbow, Blur, Depeche Mode, Doves), Lakeman has returned to his organic, classic folk-rock approach with his trademark foot-stomping, fiddle bow-shredding and soaring vocals all present.

The band on the album features Ben Nicholls (upright and electric bass), new boys Kit Hawes (electric and acoustic guitar) and Evan Jenkins (drums) and one of the finest female folk voices, Kathryn Roberts (Seth’s sister-in-law).

Talking about the album Lakeman says, “This ninth CD is quite different from my previous album, with more of a prog-rock approach. My last record was a deliberately understated Americana set, but this one is more rocking.”

Lakeman will be on the road in support of the record in November at the following dates:

Wed 14 Nov – Gloucester, Guildhall
Thu 15 Nov – Wolverhampton, Slade Rooms
Fri 16 Nov – Leeds, Brudenell Social Rooms
Sat 17 Nov – Holmfirth, Picturedrome
