Philippa Hanna has released the music video for her new single Hero.
A hard-hitting, pop-country track, The Hero was inspired by Hanna’s personal experiences and conversations with her fans.
āSo many of us have moments where daily life becomes overwhelming. I wanted The Hero to be a loving reminder that there is no shame in asking for help, even if you are the one that usually has it together and takes care of others. If we can openly talk about and deal with these vulnerable moments it could prevent much deeper problems later on.ā

The Hero arrives following Hanna’s first UK headline tour last month. The music video depicts a cast of characters immersed in water and struggling towards the surface.
āI wanted to somehow recreate that feeling of drowning that life can cause to feel when stress overwhelms us. I hope that it reminds viewers that this can happen to anyone and that there is nothing to feel ashamed about.ā
The Hero was mixed by Ruadhri Cushnan (Ed Sheeran/Mumford & Sons/Ward Thomas) and it features on Hanna’s album Come Back Fighting.
