The Predator is heading back to cinemas this year for another chapter of carnage. The film, directed and co-written by Shane Black (Iron Man 3), is said to be a real game-changer for the iconic sci-fi franchise.
Heading to theatres everywhere on 14th September 2018, The Predator stars an interesting crop of actors who take the reigns for this next adventure.
Alfie Allen, Niall Matter, Trevante Rhodes, Patrick Sabongui and Paul Lazenby co-star in the movie which is co-written by Fred Dekker and Black.
From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species.
When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
The trailer debuts some exciting set-pieces and looks to keep the core suspense that made the first two Predator movies such compelling watches.
The original Predator movie was released in the US in 1987 and the UK in 1988 and was directed by the legendary John McTiernan. His next movie after this would be Die Hard – that’s quite a 1-2 punch!
There’s no word yet if Arnold Schwarzenegger will make a cameo appearance in The Predator. He was rumoured to be attached to the project a few years ago but it all went quiet and now it seems they have forged ahead with a totally new story.
If Arnold Schwarzenegger did make a cameo appearance, expect the roof to cave in from the sound of the loud cheers around the audience.
