Kelsea Ballerini is ‘grateful’ for the success she’s had so far

Kelsea Ballerini returned to the UK today to perform at C2C: Country to Country on the Main Stage.

Before she performed, Ballerini spent some time with the media following a busy day doing promotion. Today’s performance marked the singer-songwriter’s second time at The O2 Arena in London following her supporting slot with Lady Antebellum last year.

I asked if Ballerini had had time to take in the records she’s broken this year in terms of her number one singles. ‘I try to keep my head down so I don’t mess it up,’ she revealed. ‘I’m so grateful for Legends, as it’s the first single from my second record.’

Ballerini talked about her change in career paths after embracing dance during her younger years:

‘I danced for 10 years and I love ballet. I grew and became really long and lost all of my co-ordination as you’ll see on stage tonight,’ Ballerini joked with the audience.

When asked who she would like to duet with Ballerini immediately answered, ‘The Weeknd’ and further elaborated, ‘My favourite duets are when you put two people together that people think isn’t going to work.’

She also revealed that she hadn’t seen her husband Morgan Evans, who is also on the C2C bill today, as he’s been busy performing all around The O2.

Ballerini takes to the Main Stage at The O2 Arena tonight ahead of Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s headline set.
