Australian singer-songwriter Morgan Evans made his first trip over to the UK last year for a string of headline performances and he’ll be back in March to perform on the Spotlight Stage at C2C: Country to Country.
Evans will open the Spotlight Stage on Friday 9th March at The O2 Arena in London and there’s plenty of anticipation around his performance. In 2017 Evans signed a record deal with Warner Nashville and released single Kiss Somebody.
We caught him live at The Borderline in London where he performed a selection of original material and covers as he connected with his UK fan base for the first time. Evans impressed with his solo performance that saw him using a loop pedal to fill out his sound and provide the perfect backing to his flawless vocals.
In December Evans released new single I Do, which coincided with his marriage to fellow Country singer Kelsea Ballerini. The loved-up couple will be performing at C2C on the same day. Evans appeared in the video screen segments shown during Ballerini’s performances of Unapologetically during her support slot on Lady Antebellum’s You Look Good World Tour.
2018 should herald the arrival of more new music from Evans and we have everything crossed that he’ll be delivering an album before the year is out.
Prior to his deal with Warner Nashville, Evans was already a name to keep an eye on in Australia. He released three EPs from 2007 to 2012 and a self-titled album in 2014.
If you’re going to C2C in London there are plenty of chances to see Evans. As well as performing on the Spotlight Stage he will also be playing the after party on Friday night with Brett Young and he’s part of the BBC Radio 2 Stage line-up.
