It’s the most wonderful time of the year and soon 2017 will draw to a close. How you choose to end it is up to you, with friends or with family. If you are one of those people who likes to finish or start the year in style then you might opt to go out and dance your socks off. There are many exciting events taking place this winter and below are EF’s favourites.

Eats Everything New Years Eve Charity Gig

Setting an aim of raising £30,000 to fund clean water projects in countries that need it most, donations can be made to the charity in a number of ways with a £100 donation providing 40 people with access to fresh water in India or 14 people In Africa for 10 yrs. With every donation going straight towards building a clean supply in a community, even a £10 text message donation will provide fresh water to at least 4 people in India or 1 person in Africa for a decade.

ANTS NYE at Electric Brixton

Having recently celebrated five years as Ibiza’s leading underground movement, the ANTS colony will make its New Year’s party debut at London’s striking auditorium Electric Brixton for one huge celebration. Having captivated London for the first time back in February, the colony are ready to yet again recreate the full spirit of the White Isle, with a formidable line-up of music masters set to mark the occasion.

Lock N Load announces PLAYAZ NYE

In the world of drum & bass there are few labels that match the events record set by Playaz. The imprint has notched up over 150 shows since their first party at legendary London venue The End, before relocating to world-renowned Fabric, and since then running sold out shows at the majestic Electric Brixton. This summer, Playaz’ stage at the landmark 2017 edition of SW4 became one of the festival’s highlights, leading SW4 promoters Lock N Load to choose Playaz to host London’s biggest NYE 2017 event.

Defected London NYE

2018 is on the horizon and what better way to bring in the New Year than the well-loved Defected NYE party at Ministry of Sound. As always, this is the perfect opportunity to get the whole Defected family together to celebrate what has been an unprecedented year for the label. Having made stops around the globe in Dubai, Ibiza, Croatia, Belgium, Amsterdam and more, the party returns home to London on 31st December for a huge end-of-year celebration.

LWE NYD 2018

Marking five years of day parties at London’s renowned Tobacco Dock, LWE have revealed a storm of music innovators for their flagship New Year’s Day celebration – featuring an exclusive live set from Maceo Plex’s Maetrik moniker. Further names confirmed to perform include Ukranian selector Nastia, plus techno innovators Axel Boman and Alan Fitzpatrick. Scottish native Lord of The Isles will make his Tobacco Dock debut, as well as one of Bulgaria’s leading live acts, KiNK, while LOLiFE founder Lauren Lo Sung rounds off the first line-up installment. With Tobacco Dock’s anniversary milestone symbolic of a hugely successful few years for LWE, its cornerstone New Year’s Day party is set to be unmissable.

So Fresh So Clean New Year’s Day

Kick of 2018 the right way with London’s biggest Hip-hop night ‘So Fresh, So Clean’ bringing you a New Years Day Special at Queen of Hoxton. From Biggie to Busta, Brooklyn to the Bronx, these guys bring the party. Expect hosts and residents The Menendez Brothers and a carefully hand-picked selection of SFSC friends, family and some very Special Guests to mix up a storm playing the best bumper thumping hip hop, Grime, R&B and more across 3 floors.

Hospitalitydnb, The Blast & Metropolis present Undivide

London Elektricity is the backbone and CEO of Hospital Records – the seminal DNB label still shaping bass music after 20 years in the business. Joining headliners Noisia at Printworks on NYD is an ensemble of Bass Royalty! Off the back of his huge Belief System project Paul Woolford will be appearing under bass-ier, genre-spanning alias Special Request. He’ll be playing a rare and exclusive back-to-back with non-other than DJ Zinc! Who knows where these two mavericks will take us? Buckle in for the ride.

 Music x Hessle Audio NYD

On New Year’s Day, Oval Space and The Pickle Factory partner with pioneering UK label Hessle Audio, for a double venue party featuring a host of Hessle family and friends. Headlining on NYD is the trio that start it all, Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound. David, Ben and Kevin formed Hessle Audio out of a terraced house in Leeds 10 years ago.
