Altitude Film Distribution have released a teaser trailer for the original family comedy, Monster Family.

Monster Family will be released in cinemas across the UK & Ireland on 2nd March 2018.

This truly global family adventure features an all-star voice cast, including Emily Watson (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Jason Isaacs (The Death of Stalin), Nick Frost (The Huntsman: Winter’s War), Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey), Celia Imrie (A Cure For Wellness) and Catherine Tate (Doctor Who).

Based on David Safier’s best-selling novel, Monster Family follows the very much unhappy Wishbone clan, Frank, Emma and their kids Max and Fay – under pressure and constantly at each other’s throats.

When they are cursed by an evil witch and transformed into their own monstrous party costumes, they must pull together to battle real-life beasts; reverse the curse; and prove that even a vampire, a mummy, a werewolf, and Frankenstein’s monster can eventually form one big happy family.

Altitude Film Distribution has expanded its slate extensively over the Four years since its launch. This year it released the Academy Award® Best Picture winning feature Moonlight and was responsible for the release of Academy Award® and BAFTA-winning Amy in 2015 and 20 Feet From Stardom.

Other releases have included William Oldroyd’s Lady Macbeth, Louis Theroux’s My Scientology Movie, Ira Sachs’ Love is Strange and Little Men, Bharut Nalluri’s Spooks: The Greater Good and Jeremy Saulnier’s Green Room.

Forthcoming releases include Sean Baker’s The Florida Project, Andrey Zvyagintsev Loveless, Studio Ponoc’s Mary and the Witch’s Flower, Ai Weiwei’s Human Flow, Lili Fini Zanuck’s documentary Eric Clapton: A Life In 12 Bars, Peter Mackie Burns’s Daphne (starring Emily Beecham), Asif Kapadia’s Maradona, Kevin Macdonald’s Untitled Whitney Houston Documentary, Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire’s A Prayer Before Dawn, Marc Meyers’ My Friend Dahmer, Fabio Grassadonia and Antonio Piazza Sicilian Ghost Story, Chloe Zhao’s The Rider and Brian Welsh’s Beats.

Monster Family also has an inventive tagline – ‘When the Wishbones snap, only love can stitch them back together’.

Holger Tappe directs Monster Family, which did go by the title Happy Family until recently.
