In a mobile first, players can unlock exclusive Snapchat Lenses from another app, allowing them to interact with the game’s key characters, such as Stella the spell-casting witch and her trusty feline companion Nero, in a completely new way.
The content is launching as part of the Bubble Witch 3 ‘Trick or Treat’ event which gives players the opportunity to play collaboratively with each other for the first time and unlock magical rewards by helping Stella and new characters, the Tricksies, to collect candies. At various points within the game players will find themselves taken out of the app and into Snapchat, for example allowing them to celebrate when they pass a friend on the Saga map.
Wearing their very own witch’s hat, the Bubble Witch 3 selfie Lens will allow players to channel their inner Stella, using their head to aim their magic wand and pop as many bubbles as possible, bringing a real gamified experience to Snapchat. By tapping on the outward facing camera, users can also access a Bubble Witch 3 World Lens which incorporates both augmented reality and surface technology, allowing users to place a 3D Stella into the real world and see her casting spells.

The new gameplay mode encourages fellow bubble-bursters to join forces to pop bubbles containing Halloween candies and collect as many treats as possible. If one player loses a level, another team member gets the chance to recover their lost candies. The more treats gathered, the more rewards players will conjure up as a team. These rewards can be kept as boosters for the main game.
The ‘Trick or Treat’ event started today (26th October) and will run until 10am on the 2nd November. After the event the Bubble Witch 3 Lenses will then be available to all Snapchatters within the UK and Germany in the lens carousel for one day only on the 2nd November.
Players must download Bubble Witch 3 Saga for free from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore to take part in the The Trick or Treat event.
