Chris Young was welcome and inducted into the Grand Ole Opry family last week by Brad Paisley.
The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter performed two of his hits and two of his favourite Country classics for a sold-out audience before being presented with the Opry Member Award by Paisley.

“Just look where you are!” Paisley exclaimed, noting the pair’s presence in the Opry’s famed circle center stage. “When I was first made a member of this crazy family, I had no idea the actual way this is a family,” Paisley said. “I quickly was accepted and asked to be a part of so many things. Chris is one of those people that will make the most of this. This is a great human being, and that’s what the Opry needs.”
After being presented with his award Young said, “The two best words I can think of are ‘thank you.’”

Young joined forces with Cassadee Pope to perform their number one hit Think of You as he concluded his set.
Young made his debut at the Opry on 15th June 2006, something he'd dreamt about as a kid.
Last Friday, Young released his latest album Losing Sleep to rave reviews from the critics and his fans.
