Brett Young has released the music video for his new single Like I Loved You.
The clip is directed by Phillip Lopez (Kygo, Cold War Kids) and was filmed in Los Angeles with Laurel Canyon providing the scenic backdrop. The video finds Young capturing the raw sentiment surrounding unrequited love.
“California is home for me, and itās where Iāve lived a lot of these lyrics, so it just feels right to shoot the āLike I Loved Youā video back there,ā Young said. āI think just about everyone can identify with this song in some way. Most have us have had our hearts broken a time or two.”
Like I Loved You is the third single from Young’s self-titled debut album and the follow-up to the huge number 1 hits In Case You Didn’t Know and Sleep Without You. In Case You Didn’t Know has been certified RIAA platinum and it was the first Country song to be released in 2017 to do so.
Young is currently on the road with Lady Antebellum for their You Look Good World Tour.
