Melvin Odoom (The Xtra Factor, Strictly Come Dancing) is set to narrate Japandemonium, a new series highlighting the best and funniest clips from Japans iconic gameshows.
The series is coming to ITV later this year and is produced by Zig Zag Productions. It will screen clips from some of the most bizarre and incredible games and hidden camera pranks ever to feature on Japanese television.
Asif Zubairy, ITV’s Commissioning Editor, Comedy and Entertainment said: “Japandemonium is a collection of some of the cleverest, funniest, oddest, most bonkers game shows ever seen outside Japan”.
Andy Scott, Zig Zag Productions’ Head of Entertainment said “The Japanese are the absolute masters of epic physical gameshows and completely hilarious no-holds-barred hidden camera pranks. They’ve suffered for their art – and now you can sit back, strap in tight and enjoy a fast-paced collection of the best moments, all gathered together into what we like to call a ‘Japandemonium’”.
Japandemonium will be screened as six 30 minute episodes and will air late in 2017.
