Pharrell Williams releases Minions-filled music video for Despicable Me 3

Pharrell Williams returns to the Despicable Me universe for more musical fun.

Pharrell Williams has released a brand new music video called ‘There’s Something Special’ from the movie Despicable Me 3.

‘There’s Something Special’ is the second original track from Illumination & Universal Pictures’ Despicable Me 3 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.

Pharrell Williams once again returns to the Despicable Me series to write and produce songs and themes for the newest film. Despicable Me 3.  The soundtrack will be available everywhere on 23rd June via i am OTHER Entertainment/Columbia Records.

Despicable Me 3 sees Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig reprise their roles as Gru and Lucy, alongside Trey Parker as ‘80s villain Balthazar Bratt.

Gru is being lured back into the world of villainy by his twin brother, Dru. There’s plenty of adventure and action throughout the film, including the Minions in prison.

The team who brought you Despicable Me and the biggest animated hits of 2013 and 2015, Despicable Me 2 and Minions, returns to continue the adventures of Gru, Lucy, their adorable daughters – Margo, Edith and Agnes – and the Minions.

Despicable Me 3, directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, co-directed by Eric Guillon, and written by Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio, will be released in theatres in summer 2017.

The animated film is produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and executive produced by Chris Renaud.

Joining Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig in Despicable Me 3 is Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award winner Trey Parker, co-creator of Comedy Central’s global phenomenon South Park and the Broadway smash The Book of Mormon.

Parker voices the role of villain Balthazar Bratt, a former child star who’s grown up to become obsessed with the character he played in the ‘80s, and proves to be Gru’s most formidable nemesis to date.

The film hits cinemas on Friday 30th June.
