Scarlett (Clare Bowen) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio) shot the music video for their new single and it wasn’t exactly smooth sailing on the latest episode of Nashville.
The director Damien George (Christian Coulson) clashed with Scarlett over what he was asking her to do. Scarlett was uncomfortable with being sexualised on screen but was eventually worn down by Damien and pushed to her limits.
Meanwhile Maddie (Lennon Stella) spent a night on the town with Clayton (Joseph David-Jones) but was disappointed when he turned down her advances due to the difference in their ages and race. The burgeoning couple had a scare when Clayton collapsed in his apartment after being beaten up while busking. Bringing him home from hospital, Maddie kept pushing Clayton and he admitted he was bi-polar.
Later in the episode, Clayton turned up on Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon’s (Charles Esten) doorstep to introduce himself seemingly wanting to embark on a relationship with Maddie after all.
Elsewhere in the episode Will (Chris Carmack) met Zach (Cameron Scoggins) who hit on him and put his number in his phone, Bucky (David Alford) fired Randall (Jordan Woods-Robinson) mistakenly thinking he was Rayna’s stalker, and Rayna had a scary encounter when the actual stalker turned up at Highway 65 and created an explosive scene.
The next episode of the season is A Little Bit Stronger. Rayna and Deacon beef up their home security after Rayna’s encounter with Carl Hockney. Juliette draws closer to her guardian angel Hallie. Avery leaps back into performing.
