Shania Twain will release her first album in 15 years this September it has been announced.
The lead single from the record is Life's About To Get Good, which will arrive at radio in June. The news came this week as Shania appeared on The Voice US as a fifth judge and key advisor to the contestants.
“When writing Life’s About to Get Good,” Shania explains, “I was at home looking out at the ocean and I said to myself, ‘Here I am stuck in this past of negativity, but it’s so beautiful out. I’m not in the mood to write a ‘feeling-sorry-for-myself’ song. You can’t have the good without the bad. And that’s what the song ended up being about.”
Shania debuted the song over the weekend at the Stagecoach Festival in California, where she was one of the headliners.
Over the course of her career, Shania has picked up five Grammys and sold more than 75 million albums worldwide. In the US alone she has sold more than 34.5 million and is the top-selling female country artist of all time.
Shania's last album was Up!, which was released in 2002 and featured the hit singles I'm Gonna Getcha Good!, Up, Ka-Ching and Forever and for Always.
