Sekou Bah (J. Mallory McCree) was publicly identified as the driver of the van that was carrying the bomb. Carrie (Claire Danes) refused to believe that Sekou was behind the bombing.

Reda (Patrick Sabongui) called to tell her to get to Sekou’s family who were being questioned by the FBI. Carrie was busy trying to get Franny ready for school until Reda explained the whole city was on lockdown. She decided to trust Quinn (Rupert Friend) to watch her until her sitter Latisha arrived.

Before she arrived news broke about Carrie defending Sekou and reporters arrived to talk with her. Quinn explained that she wasn’t at home but more continued to turn up. Eventually protesters also arrived on the scene and they began to become angry.

When Latisha arrived Quinn told her to keep Franny safe. Unhappy with the situation Quinn eventually snapped and dragged a female reporter inside. After briefly questioning her he pushed her back outside and she tumbled down the front steps which made the protesters more angry.

They began throwing rocks at the apartment, smashing one of the windows. Quinn responded by shooting one of them. Latisha begged to leave with Franny but Quinn made them sit in the downstairs bathroom.

The NYPD surrounded Carrie’s apartment which was now classed as a hostage situation. Carrie arrived on scene but was refused entry to talk to Quinn. Instead the police planned to storm the building and she warned them it was a bad idea as Quinn may kill them.

Before the assault team entered Quinn prepared. When the first officer dropped into the building Quinn was waiting and he took him prisoner. The assault was quickly abandoned as Quinn was now armed to the teeth.

Carrie eventually got let in and she tried to talk Quinn down. The police took the opportunity to storm in again and Carrie managed to keep Quinn safe. Before they took him into custody he told her he had proof that someone was spying on her.

Elsewhere in the episode, Agent Conlin (Dominic Fumusa) pressured Carrie to find out her source for the telephone recording that got Sekou released. Carrie refused to give up her source, much to his annoyance. She then went to warn Roger but he insisted that although she asked him for the recording it wasn’t he who provided it.

Meanwhile, President-elect Elizabeth Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) was evacuated to a safe house as a precaution. She found herself frustrated as she was taken ahead of her staff and was left with no phone or TV.

Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham) arrived to brief her and left her with a special phone. He then went to meet Saul (Mandy Patinkin) from the airport. Saul explained that he thought the meeting with Nafisi may have been staged by Mossad.

At the end of the episode, Carrie found Quinn’s phone in the debris of her apartment. On it she found photos of the apartment across the street, the man who Quinn thought was watching her and the trip to Medina Medley. Looking across the street she could see someone watching back through the blinds.
