Strictly Come Dancing 2016 aired its quarter final last night and what a show it was!

The five remaining couples danced once again and the theme was Musicals. As there are only five couples still in the competition, this week I’ve selected the Top 3.

As always I haven’t necessarily listened to the judges and all opinions expressed here are my own. Find out who made the cut this week…

3. Louise Redknapp and Kevin Clifton – Quickstep

I actually didn’t love this routine but I did think that Louise did a remarkable job. She effortlessly moved from the musical to the Quickstep elements. My biggest problem was that there wasn’t enough Quickstep but the routine was entertaining.

2. Claudia Fragapane and AJ Pritchard – Salsa

I felt Claudia lacked a bit of energy this week but her routine was still well executed and a whole lot of fun. She and AJ embraced the Musicals theme and their dance was definitely one of the most memorable.

1. Danny Mac and Oti Mabuse – Tango

Danny Mac is still far and away the best dancer on the show. He’s such a natural and he led a very challenging routine superbly last night. His partnership with Oti is the best on the show and I really hope they win.

Strictly Come Dancing 2016 continues at 7.20pm tonight on BBC One.
