Four of Diamonds leave The X Factor 2016

The X Factor continued last night and it was girlbands vs boybands last night. The competition heated up as the contestants sang to stay in the competition.

The X Factor contestants were joined by the judges and mentors, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh. Before the bottom three acts were revealed the night included entertainment from stars Emily Sande and Robbie Williams.

Receive the least votes and therefore in the bottom three this week were Four of Diamonds, Saara Aalto and Sam Lavery. The public saved Sam Lavery, which meant that Saara Aalto and Four of Diamonds had to sing for their place in the competition.

Four of Diamonds stuck to a ballad by singing When You Believe and although the girls started off a bit shakily they ended with a big finish. Saara Aalto sang Jessie J’s ballad, Who You Are and I thought she nailed it. Her performance was perfect and unfortunately for Four for Diamonds she sang a lot better.

The mentors Sharon and Louis stuck with their acts, whilst Nicole and Simon chose to send home Four of Diamonds, which meant that it was the end of the road for girlband, Four of Diamonds.

Next week’s theme will be Disco.

The X Factor 2016 returns next Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
