On Tuesday night the Strictly Come Dancing 2016 celebrities and the pro dancers made their first appearance at a sparkling red carpet launch event.

It was the first chance we’ve had to see this year’s line-up in their Strictly gear and it they all looked pretty excited about the series ahead. The judges – Craig Revel-Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli – were in attendance too along with It Takes Two host Zoe Ball.

New pro dancers Neil Jones, Katya Jones, Oksana Platero, Gorka Marquez, AJ Pritchard and Chloe Hewitt posed together for the cameras as they prepare to make their debut this series. It’s the biggest pro line-up the show has had in a long time with Aliona Vilani, Kristina Rihanoff, Gleb Savchenko, Ola Jordan and Tristan MacManus all having departed following last year’s series.

Tonight we’ll find out who the celebrities are paired with then it’ll be a few weeks of training before the first live shows!

Strictly Come Dancing 2016 kicks off tonight at 6.50pm on BBC One. Take a look at all the action from the red carpet launch in our gallery below:
