Blake Shelton will step away from his role as a coach to perform new song Go Ahead and Break My Heart with fellow coach Gwen Stefani on The Voice US on Monday (9th May).

Taken from Blake’s forthcoming album If I’m Honest, which is released on 20th May 2016, Go Ahead and Break My Heart is the first collaboration for the couple. If I’m Honest is Blake’s most personal record to date.

“This is one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written or recorded,” said Shelton. “It came from a time and place when Gwen and I were beginning our journey together and both experiencing a hard time letting our guards down with each other. The song couldn’t possibly be more honest. I’m honoured to have written and to perform this song with the great Gwen Stefani. Respect.”

Also performing on Monday’s instalment of The Voice US are Florida Georgia Line who will perform their new single H.O.L.Y.

Go Ahead and Break My Heart will be the third track unveiled from If I’m Honest following the release of Came Here to Forget and Savior’s Shadow.
