5 acts we’d love to see perform at C2C: Country to Country 2017

C2C: Country to Country is returning for another 3 day spectacular in 2017.

At this time no artists have been announced for the line-up but there are plenty of possibilities for next year’s main stage. I’ve had a think about which 5 stars I’d love to see performing on the main stage over the course of C2C 2017.

Keep reading to find out who I think would be great additions to the line-up…

1. Blake Shelton

Could we have seen a Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton co-headliner this year had the stars not divorced? It would have been a stellar show that’s for sure! Blake is one of the most recognisable faces in Country music and to my knowledge he’s never performed in the UK over his career. With a new album on the horizon, I hope that he is part of the line-up next year. The Voice US could cause him a problem though unless he sits a season out.

2. Brett Eldredge

Brett Eldredge is one of the hottest artists in Country right now and he recently came to the UK for a headline tour. There’s a lot of love for Brett on these shores and to be honest I can’t believe he wasn’t part of the C2C line-up this year. Now that his buddy Thomas Rhett has performed as part of the festival, could Brett follow in his footsteps next year? I hope so!

3. Keith Urban

Keith Urban has a long relationship with the UK having toured over here many times over the years. With a new album Ripcord about to hit the shelves, it would be the perfect timing for him to make his way over to the UK to headline one night at C2C. He won’t have American Idol tying him down next year so it’s a definite possibility.

4. Jewel

OK, OK stay with me here. I’m sure some people will say ‘she’s not really Country’ but C2C has celebrated Country, Americana and Folk over the years. Jewel has always had one foot in Country music, and she has released two Country albums in her career to date. Either solo or with a band, Jewel would be a fantastic choice to perform on the main stage. She has the songs, the talent and the personality to be a highlight of the festival.

5. Cam

Rising star Cam has been backed by her mentor Vince Gill, which to be honest is almost all you need to trust that she would be a great addition to the festival. Her breakthrough hit Burning House has blown up in the US and her album Untamed is one of the most promising debuts I’ve heard in a long time. She may be relatively new to the charts but there’s no reason she couldn’t hold her own and wow on the main stage.

C2C: Country to Country 2017 takes place from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th March 2017 at The O2 Arena in London. Who would you like to see perform next year?
