Reality TV gets a bad rap in terms of producing credible stars but one person who would beg to differ would be Miranda Lambert.
Due to headline the first night at this yearās C2C: Country to Country in London, Lambert has established herself as one of the most successful female artists in contemporary country music. After finishing third on Nashville Star in 2003, Lambert signed a deal with Epic Records and released her major label debut album Kerosene in 2005.
All five of Lambertās albums ā Kerosene (2005), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2007), Revolution (2009), Four the Record (2011) and Platinum (2014) ā have hit number one on the US Top Country Albums Chart, with only Platinum topping the US Billboard 200. Over her career to date Lambert has released 21 singles with three of those hitting number one on the US Hot Country Songs Chart ā 2010ās The House That Built Me, 2011ās Heart Like Mine and 2012ās Over You.
In 2006 Lambert started dating Blake Shelton with the two marrying in 2011. After four years of marriage, the two called it quits last year and decided to divorce. It would seem that the former couple are still on friendly terms and both have moved on with Lambert dating singer Anderson East and Shelton dating his The Voice US co-star Gwen Stefani.
Outside of her solo music, Lambert has released two albums with Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley as Pistol Annies. 2011ās Hell on Heels and 2013ās Annie Up both proved to be moderate hits but the band didnāt find much success in terms of singles from either.
Lambertās appearance at C2C is one that her UK fans have been looking forward to for a very long-time. She will be headlining the first night of the festival and we have our fingers crossed that Saturday night headliner Carrie Underwood will join her on-stage for a rendition of their hit Something Bad.
Miranda Lambert will perform on the main stage at C2C: Country to Country in London on Friday 11th March 2016. Watch the video for Mirandaās hit Little Red Wagon below:
