Jamelia was the latest celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2015 during tonight’s results show.

The singer, and her partner Tristan MacManus, have been in the bottom two 5 times since the series began. Tonight they were in the bottom two with Peter Andre and his partner Janette Manrara. After both couples had danced again judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli decided to save Peter and Janette.

Len disagreed and said that he would have saved Jamelia and Tristan based on tonight’s dance-off. His vote didn’t count though as he was outnumbered by his fellow judges.

Talking about her time on the show Jamelia said, “I’m sorry to go, I do have to say I’ve had the most fantastic time. I’ve made the most amazing set of friends, I’ve danced at the Tower Ballroom and I’ve danced with Tristan MacManus a million times! I just feel so fortunate to have had this experience and I hope that I’ve shown people that if you are determined and if you work hard then you can surpass whatever you think. I thought I was only going to get to week three and be gone but I’m here at the Tower Ballroom and made it to Blackpool, I’m happy! I’ve said it over and over again, I could not have had a better partner than Tristan, he’s so fantastic, so positive and he really has believed in me. It’s down to him why I’ve made it all the way to Blackpool, thank you!”

Tristan added, “Jamelia’s done great and even tonight, it was a completely different dance we’ve just done and unfortunately someone else did a completely different dance as well, it was unbelievable! Again, first and foremost we are dance teachers, we compete and what we want to do is pass on some sort of information to someone and the improvement in Jamelia every week has been unbelievable and I couldn’t be more proud.”

Tonight’s results show featured performances from Anastacia and Take That.

Strictly Come Dancing 2015 continues at 6.50pm Saturday on BBC One.
