The X Factor 2015 week 4 live show recap

Three weeks into the live shows and 6 acts have already left The X Factor 2015.

Last weekend Max Stone and Monica Michael were eliminated from the competition. Max received the fewest votes from the public and Monica was eliminated after competing in the sing-off with Anton Stephans. Tonight the theme was Love & Heartbreak and the remaining 7 acts sang for survival.

It was revealed at the start of the show that it was going to be another double elimination this weekend with one act leaving the competition tonight.

Find out how everyone got on in our recap…

Che Chesterman

The song: Yesterday – The Beatles

Our verdict: We didn’t love that version of the song. We absolutely love Che and his voice but that rendition left us really cold. Sorry Che!

The comments: Rita told Che that his performance was stunning and that he set the bar. Cheryl said it was one of the most powerful openings to the show they’ve had and told Che that she had to fight back the tears. Simon told Che that his performance was really emotional and that he was turning into a real artist. Nick said it was the first time he hasn’t cried while Che performed the song and told him it’s the record he should be making.

Anton Stephans

The song: One Sweet Day – Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men

Our verdict: We have no words. That was a truly dreadful version of a classic song. Anton screamed and shouted his way through it barely hitting any of the notes in the first half. It was far too OTT.

The comments: Nick said that Anton has a great voice but wasn’t sure he wanted to listen to him on the radio. When Nick said that Anton was putting on an act Anton argued with Nick telling him he was wrong. Rita said that the song choice was wrong. Cheryl said that she missed the emotion during Anton’s performance. Simon argued with Nick’s critique leaving Anton in tears on the stage being comforted by Caroline.

4th Impact

The song: Ain’t No Other Man – Christina Aguilera

Our verdict: Not the best performance from the girls. Together they sounded pretty good but apart they were really rough in places. The overall performance was good though but the solo vocals need work.

The comments: Simon said 4th Impact were ‘professional and sassy’ but told the group that they need to bring their individual personalities out. Nick said that 4th Impact were a bit nastier tonight and entertaining. Rita said that she liked the performance and felt it was well rehearsed. Cheryl said that girls only got the song the day before and told them she had a lot of respect for them.

Lauren Murray

The song: We Belong Together – Mariah Carey

Our verdict: Lauren made that look really easy! We Belong Together is such a tough song to sing and she did an incredible job. She’s easily the one to beat in this competition.

The comments: Cheryl said she would be relaxed if she was mentoring Lauren because she’s such a fantastic singer. Simon said that he thought the first half of the song didn’t work but that the second half was a lot better. Nick said that Lauren is fearless vocally and he told her he loves her. Rita said that Lauren is a superstar and told her that she smashed the vocal.

Mason Noise

The song: Jealous – Nick Jonas

Our verdict: What happened to Mason tonight? His vocal was shaky and he was completely out of time with the track on several occasions. He could be in trouble tonight after that performance.

The comments: Rita said that she enjoyed the performance but told Mason he could have had a bigger moment with his vocals. Cheryl said that Mason sang the type of record she would have made with him but she could feel his nerves tonight. Simon said that the performance was a little cold tonight and told him that he’s got a wall up. Nick disagreed with Simon and told Mason that he loved the performance.

Louisa Johnson

The song: Let It Go – James Bay

Our verdict: Fantastic vocal tonight! We’ve loved Louisa throughout the competition but we did feel she was giving the same performance every week. Tonight’s performance was the best of the night by a long shot and she sounded incredible. Well played Louisa!

The comments: Cheryl said that Louisa’s vocal was unbelievable especially given her young age. Simon said Louisa had a big moment with the song tonight and told her the performance was stunning. Nick said that the performance was Louisa’s best to date. Rita said that Louisa deserved to stay right at the top after her stunning performance.

Reggie N Bollie

The song: Dangerous Love / Shut Up And Dance ā€“ Fuse ODG / Walk The Moon

Our verdict: Oh Reggie N Bollie! We really don’t want to like you but we just do! Every single week they bring the studio to life and get everyone dancing and smiling. TOnight they brought the live performances to a close with a hell of a lot of energy.

The comments: Simon said that the vocals were a bit iffy at the beginning but told Reggie N Bollie that they would be in the finals. Nick said that he looks forward to Reggie N Bollie every week and told them they make everyone happy. Rita said she felt like she was at Notting Hill Carnival and told them she loved it. Cheryl thanked all the fans for voting and said it was The Reggie N Bollie Show.

Keep watching tonight to find out which act is going home. Tune in to ITV tomorrow night at 8pm to find out who the second act to leave this weekend will be.
