To most people Jury Duty is a real chore but not to Gloria (Sofia Vergara) on the latest episode of Modern Family.
As Gloria did her duty, and kept putting her foot in it, Jay (Ed O’Neill) struggled to step into her shoes and take over Joe’s care for the day. Meanwhile Manny (Rico Rodriguez) and Luke (Nolan Gould) allowed Phil (Ty Burrell) to join them for a community service class where Phil embarrassed himself by failing to remember a man who knew him.
Elsewhere in the episode Claire (Julie Bowen) took Haley (Sarah Hyland) and Alex (Ariel Winter) to work with her for the day and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) struggled to choose which friend to invite to their party after the couple broke up.
The next episode of the season is The More You Ignore Me. Alex and Luke both give Claire and Phil reason to be concerned. Things get awkward when Haley and Dylan (Reid Ewing) meet Andy (Adam DeVine) and Beth (Laura Ashley Samuels) at the cinema.
