Former Westlife star Shane Filan could be the first celebrity to be revealed as a contestant on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Since he made that announcement, Zoe Ball has confirmed that the first Strictly celebrity will be revealed on Chris Evans’ BBC Radio 2 show on Monday morning. Is it a coincidence or do you think Shane will be donning the glitter and sparkles for this year’s series?
If Shane is revealed as the first celeb, he will be the second member of Westlife to compete on the show following Nicky Byrne’s successful run with Karen Hauer back in 2012. We’re sure Nicky would give Shane some tips too.
Of course at the moment this is all just speculation but it does seem like a bit of a coincidence that Shane is making an announcement the same time that the Strictly celeb will be revealed.
