In an interview due to air tomorrow morning on Free Radio with host Adam Wilbourn, One Direction star Liam Payne opens up about all things One Direction.
The world-conquering boy band will be taking a break later in the year and Liam revealed what his plans were. ‘Thereās loads of things (I want to do). Iāve been writing a lot on the road at the moment, not for me, just for other people. Iāve been doing a lot of things, you know trying to get into the producing side of it which is pretty cool.’
He went on to say that he’s most looking forward to going home. ‘Everyoneās asking if Iām gonna go away on holiday, but Iāve been everywhere, so I kind of just wanna go home! I honestly do miss living in Wolverhampton. I actually wanna pop down to my old school for a little bit, and go and talk to the kids.’
During the interview Liam also opens up about the departure of Zayn Malik. ‘Obviously we wish Zayn the best of luck. We saw he got signed to a new record deal the other day. Iāve been saying a lot, if your heartās not in it, then you canāt continue doing something you donāt enjoy. I always used to say to my mum and dad when they had jobs they didnāt like, āwhy bother, go and do something you enjoyā. All the best of luck really!’
Liam admitted that the band hadn’t been in touch with Zayn since he left. ‘We havenāt really spoken that much because heās kind of distancing himself. It was a difficult thing to leave behind. Heās just distanced himself a bit and itās nice to see him showing his support and stuff which is cool. Itās all still good.’
One Direction broke records with their new single Drag Me Down, which was released last Friday as a surprise for fans.
