Striking Matches heading to the UK in May

Striking Matches will return to the UK this May for a series of live shows in support of their album Nothing But The Silence.

The duo will perform three dates taking in London, Manchester and Glasgow. The new dates follow the group’s successful debut headline shows at Borderline last year and their performance at The O2 Arena’s C2C Festival last March.

Striking Matches will release new single Missing You Tonight on 16th March ahead of the release of Nothing But The Silence on 23rd March. The lyric video has just been released for Missing You Tonight and can be seen at the bottom of this article.

Nothing But The Silence is produced by Grammy-winning T-Bone Burnett, who has worked with the likes of Robert Plant, Allison Krauss, Elton John, Roy Orbison and Counting Crows.

Striking Matches have had some of their songs featured in hit ABC series Nashville. When The Right One Comes Along and Hanging On A Lie has been recorded by the show’s stars Sam Palladio and Clare Bowen.

The full tour dates for May are:

Friday 8th – Union Chapel, London
Sunday 10th ā€“ Deaf Institute, Manchester
Monday 11th ā€“ Oran Mor, Glasgow
