Madonna has been confirmed to perform at this year’s BRIT Awards.
It has been rumoured for weeks that the pop icon will perform at the awards and it was confirmed today that she will be giving fans a preview of her new album Rebel Heart, released 9th March 2015. Madonna has picked up 12 nominations at the BRITs over the years and her 1995 performance of Bedtime Stories is one of the most memorable performances in the awards’ history.
BRITs Chairman Max Lousada said: “We’re delighted to bring Madonna back to the BRITS. She’s an icon, an innovator and, above all, an entertainer. Having her as part of the show will guarantee an unforgettable night of music.”
Also performing at the awards are Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Paloma Faith, George Ezra, Royal Blood and Take That.
The BRIT Awards 2015 will be held at The O2 in London on Wednesday 25 February and will be broadcast live on ITV.
