Mark Wright & Karen Hauer’s Top 5 Strictly 2014 dances

With the Strictly Come Dancing 2014 final only a day away it’s time to start thinking about which couple to vote for during tomorrow night’s live show.

Caroline Flack & Pasha Kovalev, Frankie Bridge & Kevin Clifton, Simon Webbe & Kristina Rihanoff, and Mark Wright & Karen Hauer will all fight it out to be crowned the 2014 series winner. It could be anyone’s still at this stage in the competition as all four couples have had strong weeks as well as disappointing weeks since the show started.

We’re going to take a look at each couple individually and highlight their Top 5 dances of the series. First up is Mark and Karen…

5. American Smooth – Week 2

The American Smooth was a little bit stiff in places but Mark proved in week 2 that he could get his energy under control. It was the first time Mark did Ballroom and it was the early sign that his journey had only just begun and there was lots more to come.

4. Foxtrot – Week 10

Mark’s best Ballroom dance in our opinion. It was smooth, fun and light-hearted. Ballroom hasn’t always been his strength but we think he acquitted himself well during this one and his improvement is clear to see.

3. Charleston – Week 7

We felt this one was under-marked during Blackpool week but still it was a great performance. Mark is better when the dances require more energy and despite criticisms that he can sometimes get carried away, we thought he controlled it perfectly.

2. Jive – Week 5

The Jive is a routine that tends to throw a lot of the celebs but not Mark. He threw himself into it with gusto and his timing was impeccable. We loved the theme and Karen’s choreography and this is without a doubt one of his best.

1. Samba – Week 4

This was the week that Mark turned into a dancer. After a sketchy first few weeks, he really delivered with his bum-shaking, hip-rolling, all-round gyrating Samba. If only we could have been sat where the judges were…

The Strictly Come Dancing 2014 final starts at 6.30pm tomorrow night on BBC One.
