With only 5 acts left in the X Factor 2014 it’s getting tougher and tougher to predict who will leave the competition tonight.
Last night’s Jukebox Week was one of the strongest weeks of the competition this year making it even hard to pick between the remaining acts. For the most part the performances were solid last night and even Lauren Platt who struggled with illness pulled it off.
We’ve reviewed all of the performances and picked who we think will be in the bottom two and which act will be going home.
The rocker got great comments for his first song last night which was a cover of The Beatles’ Come Together but the judges weren’t crazy about his second song, a cover of Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud. Mel B was going on about light and shade in his voice saying he didn’t have any. Harsh words Mel! We think he could be in danger.
Lauren’s first song of the evening wasn’t all that well known (it only reached 26 in the UK charts) and she seemed a bit out of it due to being ill all week. She pulled it back with her second song but all of the other acts knocked it out of the park pretty much with both of their songs so she could be in danger tonight.
Who will go?
We think it might be time for Ben Haenow to go home. As much as we like him, his voice isn’t all that versatile. Whilst we don’t agree with Mel B that he should only sing rock songs, he definitely doesn’t have the versatility that the other contestants do. It’s going to be a tough one!
Tune in to ITV at 8pm to find out who will leave the competition and if our predictions are correct.
