Samsung unveils new & improved Curzon Home Cinema App

Samsung Electronics Co. UK Ltd have unveiled the new and improved Curzon Home Cinema Smart TV App on the Samsung Smart Hub.

The app gives users access to selected films the day they are released in Curzon cinemas including acclaimed titles Joe starring Nicolas Cage and Ida from director Pawel Pawlikowski. Curzon will offer users the very best in independent cinema straight to their living room and the app also curates tops films as selected by Curzon cinema experts.

The app offer a ‘pay as you watch’ system so there’s no monthly subscription. Once purchased the film is available across multiple platforms with users having the ability to pause and resume watching on another device. There are also new menus including Most Watched and Featured Films to help you choose what to watch.

The flagship Curved UHD HU8500 TV is specifically shaped for UHD viewing at its very best. This curved screen provides a greater sense of depth with Auto Depth Enhancer technology, wider viewing angles by shortening the distance between the viewer and the screen’s corners and higher levels of contrast for crystal clear UHD images.

The app is available on all 2012, 2013 and 2014 Samsung Smart TV models and joins an ever-growing collection of services available on Samsung Smart TVs such as Full Catch Up TV (ITV Player, BBC iPlayer, 4oD and Demand 5), MUBI, Deezer, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
