Voting open for the Jameson Empire Awards 2015

You can start voting for your favourites from today.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

From today film fans around the world can start voting for their favourite films and performances of the year in the the Jameson Empire Awards 2015.

Voted solely by film fans, the categories for the awards include Best Male and Female Newcomer, Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Best Thriller presented by Corinthia Hotel London, Best British Film, Best Film, Best Comedy presented by Absolute Radio, Best Director, Best Actress and the Jameson Best Actor.

Voters can choose from films released in the period January 31st 2014 to January 31st 2015.

Last year’s award-winners ranged from Gravity, The Wolf Of Wall Street and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire to Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa and The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug.

Editor-In-Chief of Empire magazine, Morgan Rees, commented, “The Jameson Empire Awards are legendary, built on an exciting and inclusive atmosphere and voted for by the most knowledgeable film readership in the world. The past 12 months has been an astonishing period for movies and the battle for awards on March 29 will be the most intense to date. These awards are voted for by the film fans who buy cinema tickets week in, week out, be it for the biggest superhero films or the coolest indies. I can’t wait to see the results.”
