The Musketeers and Skins star Luke Pasqualino will star in American indie drama Retake it has been announced.
In the movie Luke will play Brandon, a young male prostitute who gets hired by a middle-aged man trying to re-live a road trip from his past. Retake has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to help them raise the final funds for the movie after secure some backing from a group of independent backers.
Retake director Nick Corporon stated, “Our challenge in casting Brandon was to find an actor who is not just incredibly talented but fearless. Luke has established himself as dynamic and bold performer. His vivid take on Brandon will surprise those who have been with him since Skins.”
Retake is directed by Corporon from a screenplay he wrote based on a story by Justin Bailey, Nick Corporon, Collin Brazie, and Gareth Dutton. Sean Mandell is producing the film with Corporon and Brazie.
Producer Sean Mandell said of the project, “It’s still a challenge for LGBT projects to get made. However, thanks to crowdfunding, viewers today have a tremendous ability to influence what content gets made. We hope that when viewers see what we’re creating, they’ll be as excited as we are and want to help bring Retake to life.”
