Omid Djalili’s Hot & Dangerous continues on Friday and we’ve got two brand new clips from the episode to share with you.
In the clips you can see Omid participating in a chilli eating contest (ouch!) and preparing to sample the Inferno Sauce Jerk Chicken which is being prepared in front of his eyes.
In the show Omid is setting out on a spice odyssey to get to the bottom of this national obsession and find Britain’s most notorious and hottest dish. The twist is: Omid absolutely hates spicy food.
Omid begins his journey in Birmingham where some hot-heads serve him up a Crocodile Inferno curry and a notorious Bullet Chilli. To get a sense of how hot each dish is we look at the chemistry behind the ingredients and cooking processes, and use a special ‘heat rig’ to measure the effects on Omid’s body.
This brand new series pushes Omid to the extreme and culminates in him taking on a legendary chilli fiend in a head to head challenge to devour the hottest dish. Will this be the beginning of a love affair with spicy food or a journey into a world of pain?
