Last night Jake Quickenden waved goodbye to The X Factor 2014 after being voted off the show and today he talked about his exit on This Morning.
Talking Eamonn and Ruth earlier today Jake said, āIām alrightā¦ thereās nothing really to be said about it. Iāve been on a great journey and here I am.ā
During the interview Jake admitted to being disappointed with himself and said, āIām a bit let down I didnāt get to show myself at my full ability. With a guitar.ā
When asked if he thinks he was better than some of the contestants left behind. Jake diplomatically said, āI think everybodyās great in their own ways. I maybe didnāt perform to my best on Saturday, and thatās why Iām sat here. But I didnāt think it was as bad as the judges made out. There were a few bad notes but when youāre on the stage in front of ten million people and you [feel like] youāve got a gobstopper at the back of your throat, its hard to sing to your best. It really is. Itās so nerve wrackingā¦ā
Jake went on to reveal that he still plans to pursue a career in music, āIām not the kind of person to give up, so Iām going to keep slogging at it, and if you want something hard enough and as much as I do then Iāll keep working and hopefully itāll come.ā
He went on to say, āItās an amazing platform it really is, and anything can happen nowā¦ and Iām willing to get my fingers in anything and hopefully I will and the future might be bright.ā
