Rising star Maxine Ashley is the latest signing to Pharrell Williams’ I Am Other imprint.
She’s currently working on her new album under Pharrell’s masterful eye after she caught his attention with her YouTube channel which amassed more than 9,000,000 hits. Maxine’s debut EP Mood Swings mixes smooth jazz and lounge beats with pop and electro hooks.
Pharrell has produced Perpetual Nights, a track from the EP, and fans can grab the EP for free from Maxine’s website now.
Maxine cites her musical influences as The Smiths to Beyonce and everything in between. For her new album she’s collaborating with Pharrell, Kendrick Lamar, Billon and Two Inch Punch.
