Sharon Corr is to release new album The Same Sun on 8th September it has been announced.
One quarter of The Corrs, Sharon released her debut album Dream of You in 2010. The Same Sun will be preceded by lead single Take a Minute, a track Sharon wrote with Mitchell Froom. The track is about the regret of leaving and promising to return and is dedicated to Sharon’s husband and children.
The Same Sun was recorded in Los Angeles and is produced by Froom. The album has a stripped-back, organic sound that is influenced by the late 60s-early 70s Laurel Canyon as well as singer/songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and Carole King.
