Greg Kinnear’s Rake comes to Universal Channel

Greg Kinnear’s new comedy drama Rake begins in the UK on Thursday.

Based on the Austrailian series of the same name, Rake tells the story of Keegan Deane, a criminal defence lawyer whose personal problems and self-destructive behaviour finds him sparring with everyone around him – including his ex-wife, the judges, the assistant district attorney, his bookie, and even the IRS – as he relies on his wit and charm to defend the indefensible, both in and out of the courtroom.

Alongside Kinnear, Rake stars Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings), John Oritz (Fast & Furious), Necar Zadegan (24), Bojana Novakovis (Marking Time), Tara Summers (Boston Legal) and Ian Colletti (Jimmy).

In the first episode of the show, titled Serial Killer, Keegan has his work cut out in representing a notorious serial killer who has withdrawn his confession.

Rake will begins Thursday at 9pm on Universal Channel in the UK. Check out a preview of the first episode below:
