The Monuments Men finally hits UK cinemas on Friday and ahead of its release a new featurette has been released.
New Discoveries takes a look at the treasures that are at the centre of the movie. The Monuments Men is based on the true story of the greatest treasure hunt in history, The Monuments Men focuses on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by FDR with going into Germany to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners.
The Monuments Men is directed by George Clooney, who co-wrote and co-produced alongside Grant Heslov (The Ides of March); Clooney also heads up the all-star cast that includes Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin and Hugh Bonneville.
