Grey’s Anatomy fans need not worry about the future of the show as stars Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey have signed contracts to stay with the show for two more seasons.
TVGuide.com reports that the actors will be with the show for seasons 11 and 12 even though the show hasn’t been renewed past its current season. The fates of fellow original cast members Justin Chambers, Chandra Wilson and James Pickens Jr are yet to be confirmed.
It was announced last year that Sandra Oh would be departing the show at the end of the current tenth season. Details of Oh’s exit are under wraps but we’re sure it’ll be one that fans won’t want to miss.
Grey’s Anatomy is currently on its winter break in the US and will return at the end of February for new episodes. The show is currently airing in the UK on Sky Living.
