World War Z première wows London

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt bring some glitz to London’s Leicester Square.

Angelina Jolie took to the red carpet for the first time since her operation to wow the crowds in London. Stealing the show from hubby Brad Pitt, the two came to the capital yesterday for the world première of World War Z. Celebrating the brand new movie at London’s iconic Empire Cinema in Leicester Square, Jolie and Pitt were joined by their kids too.

The crowds had camped out all night for what proved to be a big event. Matching the film for scope and entertainment, London hosted the première of the movie with style. Rock band Muse were there to wow the audiences before Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie worked the crowd, giving autographs and taking pictures with the eager fans in attendance.

World War Z revolves around an ex-United Nations investigator Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop a pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself.  Starring Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos and James Badge Dale, World War Z looks set to become one of 2013’s biggest summer releases.

World War Z is directed by Marc Forster from a screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan, Drew Goddard & Damon Lindelof, and screen story by Matthew Michael Carnahan and J. Michael Straczynski.  It’s based on the novel by Max Brooks and produced by Brad Pitt himself, along with Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Ian Bryce.
